Young Person’s Practitioner
Location: Inverness, IV1 1LE
Contract: 37 hours per week - 3 months initially
Salary: £14p/h PAYE
We are currently recruiting for a Young Person’s Practitioner to join a service that provides dedicated support to young people aged 11–18 and their families. The organisation delivers one-to-one sessions, group work, parenting support, and family-based interventions designed to build strong, trusting relationships and provide intensive help during times of challenge or crisis.
The service focuses on:
* Preventing placement breakdown, whether the young person is living at home or in care.
* Supporting smooth transitions for young people returning to their local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver one-to-one and group support to young people and parents.
* Assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate progress.
* Prepare reports and contribute to multi-agency meetings.
* Work collaboratively with partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
* Support families to manage challenging behaviour and improve wellbeing.
About You:
You’ll have experience supporting children, young people, or families within a social care or community setting. Compassion, resilience, and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships are essential. Experience with trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches would be an advantage.
