The post holder will be part of the Clinical Support Services (CSS) Division finance team providing support in the production and processing of transactions through the general ledger and variance analysis to Plan.
Main duties of the job
The Management Accountant will ensure that expenditure is accurately recorded within the general ledger which requires transaction analysis and liaison with financial services, payroll and HR colleagues to investigate payments made to staff and suppliers.
The post holder also investigates expenditure variances from budget, identifies and interprets trends, presents results in a user-friendly format for discussion and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
The Management Accountant has regular contact with budget holders to review financial performance against pay budget and to ensure that financial targets are achieved.
