An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Area Business Manager across NWAS. The role will be an integral part of the Service Delivery Leadership team across Paramedic Emergency Service (PES) and Non Emergency Patient Transport Services (PTS) in each Area.
These are new roles created within the Service Delivery Team, contributing to service development, transformation, and business/resource planning aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives and plans.
Working with the Area-based leadership team, you will embed performance management into the Area’s culture. You will develop and manage the Area’s business performance (activity and finance), intelligence, and service development.
The role involves working autonomously and collaboratively with the wider service delivery team and corporate teams. There are three roles, each reporting to an Area Director, based in specific NWAS areas (GM, CAM, or CAL).
You will support the Area Director in planning and managing workstreams, leading in their delivery, and working with internal and NHS stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing projects, preparing reports, and supporting area plans.
You will have line management responsibility for area-based rostering staff and possibly administration teams, as agreed with the Area Director. Proven experience in business management, finance, NHS governance, and project management is required.
You will work with the leadership team to review services, improve performance, and drive change initiatives. Developing shared objectives and fostering a collaborative culture to empower staff is essential.
The NWAS NHS Trust provides 24/7 emergency and non-emergency services, including ambulance, patient transport, and NHS 111 services, ensuring community safety and patient care.
