Overview
GXO are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our Premier Foods contract, based at our Tamworth site, with travel as required. This is a 15-month fixed-term, full-time contract with core hours Monday to Friday 09:00–17:00. Some flexibility is required in a logistics environment.

What you’ll do on a typical day
* Oversee the production of both financial and operational management reporting, to include P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all accruals and prepayments are justified and are in line with the accounting standards
* Preparation of data and reports to be presented to the business and customer, also assisting with analysis for future business proposals
* Use initiative and judgement to support the senior leadership team in delivering operational excellence, challenging the status quo and delivering maximum benefit to the business
* Be responsible for the wellbeing, performance and motivation of your finance team through regular performance dialogues, objective setting and coaching
* This is a customer facing role and there will be a strong emphasis on relationship building and collaboration
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Proven experience in a similar finance management role, ideally within a transport or logistics function
* Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
* Experience in building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Familiarity with the principles of open book accounting would be beneficial
