Veterinary Surgeon - Emergency Out of Hours (12 Month FTC)
Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Emergency Out of Hours (12 Month FTC) role at Vet Record Careers.
Pride Veterinary Referrals is excited to announce a new opening for Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency & Critical Care to join their team on a 12-month FTC.
Working on a 3-week rota schedule, you will be one of the overnight vets caring for Referral patients. You will work directly with night nurses, veterinary care assistants, and a first opinion night vet, following treatment plans from the Specialist Case Clinician and consulting the On Call Clinician as needed.
You will be the point of contact for referring vets seeking to refer cases out of hours and will admit Referral cases arriving OOH. Clear communication during handovers and updates on patient status overnight are essential.
This role offers the opportunity to spend 3-day shifts per 3-week rota with Specialist Diplomat led teams, with flexibility on specialties and preferred day shifts.
Work with Advanced Facilities
Our state-of-the-art facilities include consultation rooms, hospital wards, theatres, advanced imaging (CT, MRI), ultrasound, interventional radiology, endoscopy, hydrotherapy, and chemotherapy rooms. Located near Derby city centre, with excellent transport links and proximity to the Peak District, we collaborate closely with the University of Nottingham.
Out of Hours Support
You will support our well-established Vets at Night teams, providing out-of-hours support across various specialties. The night team works a 7-night on, 14-night off schedule, with flexible arrangements for suitable candidates.
