Location: Longsight and Surrounding Areas Position: Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) Type of Work: Supporting pupNovember Contract Type: Long-term, Short-term, and Daily Supply Full Time/Part Time: Full time Minimum Rate of Pay: £103.95 About the Role: These roles involve working closely with small groups of pupils who have complex and diverse needs including Autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and SEMH. Youll be part of a structured, supportive team helping children thrive in a tailored learning environment. We have flexible opportunities available including long-term, short-term, and daily supply-ideal for experienced SEND support staff or those seeking to expand their experience in specialist provisions. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with EHCPs in a small-group setting within the Resource Base Implement structured learning activities and assist with access to the curriculum Use SEND-specific strategies and tools (e.g. visual timetables, PECS, Makaton, sensory interventions) Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals Promote independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviourIdeal Candidate Will Have: Experience supporting pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, or SEMH Familiarity with specialist teaching strategies and behaviour support tools A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Teamwork and excellent communication skills A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) is desirableRequirements to Work with Prospero Teaching: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold a valid, enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one) Provide two child-related professional references covering the last two yearsTo Apply: If you would like to learn more or discuss the role further, please contact the Brianna on (phone number removed) To be considered, please apply with your up-to-date CV.
