Overview
Senior Mental Health Nurse - HMP Grendon and Springhill - Aylesbury. Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join the Forensic Services team at HMP Grendon and Springhill, a Category B prison operating as a therapeutic community for approximately 240 men.
Responsibilities
* Provide mental health interventions to service users within the prison establishment.
* Manage a caseload, including assessment, planning, delivery of interventions and review of care for patients with mental illness, within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach.
* Work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison, and liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
* Support the team manager in delivering identified objectives in terms of patient care, staff and service development.
Requirements
* Be an NMC registered nurse with experience in mental health, and be able to work in Forensic Services.
* Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
