Responsibilities
* Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception through to completion, including feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering and commercial awareness, fee generation, risk management, dispute resolution, post‑contract management and final accounts.
* Demonstrate the highest standards of professional competence in all dealings with clients and professional contacts.
* Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and effective use of the performance‑management process and AECOM technical practice networks.
* Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, ensuring the firm’s reputation for premium quality services.
* Support the internal team and mentor more junior staff.
Qualifications
* Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
* Accredited MRICS (or working towards membership).
* Experience in cost management/quantity surveying on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
* Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, particularly the PSC and ECC.
* Relevant experience in an infrastructure environment, ideally within water and/or environment sectors.
* Experience of managing costs/commercials within integrated, multi‑organisation, collaborative teams.
* Experience working within a client organisation, either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement, is beneficial.
