About the role
Churchill Estates Management is recruiting an experienced Building Surveyor to undertake site-based external and internal property surveys across our portfolio of retirement developments in the South.
The Building Surveyor will provide Churchill Estates with reliable and robust stock condition data, essential for ensuring our compliance with legislation and regulations. The role includes informing future asset management and maintenance, including Section 20 major works consultations, to ensure high standards of retirement accommodation for our Homeowners.
Key stakeholders include Homeowners, the Health & Safety Executive, Lodge Managers, and Regional and Area Management teams.
This position is part of the Property Services team, with some team members based at Head Office in Ringwood, Hampshire, and will require attending meetings and training there as needed.
About you
The ideal candidate will have an HNC or degree in a construction or property-related subject. You may hold or be working towards a professional qualification such as RICS, CIOB, or ABE, and hold a CSCS card.
You should have previous experience in construction or property management, with strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Building Regulations, Fire Safety, and Asbestos Awareness.
Excellent communication skills, comfort in engaging with contractors, customers, Homeowners, and internal stakeholders are essential. You must be highly organized, proficient in IT (including MS Excel), proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a positive attitude.
