The School of Medical Sciences are looking to appoint a dynamic and proactive individual an Operations Administrative Assistant who will be based within the School Office. Operating as part of the School Operations team, the post holder will undertake tasks on behalf of the School and will support day-to-day operational business needs. The role will require considerable flexibility with the ability to prioritise tasks which will cover a wide range of operational areas enabling the delivery of a robust and efficient administrative support function across the School. The post holder is a key administrative point of contact and will provide effective and professional liaison and communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Candidates will have experience of working with administrative processes within a customer facing office environment; have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise work in a busy environment to meet deadlines; be a constructive team player and able to work collaboratively as well as being flexible and responsive to customer needs; have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact professionally; be able to identify problems and resolve issues effectively; demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrate digital literacy with the ability to use IT software and systems.
The post holder will be aligned to the School Office, but will be employed by the School and as such, may be required to support wider operational needs across the School.
