Job summary Specialist CardiacPharmacist -St Bartholomew's Hospital (37.5 hours a week includingback-upon calland weekend commitments) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the cardiac team at St Bartholomew's Hospital, home to the renowned Barts Heart Centre within Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a unique and rewarding role supporting the development of a world-class pharmacy service across Barts Health and the wider Cardiovascular Clinical Academic Group (CAG). This position offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic 7-day clinical pharmacy service, supporting a range of cardiac specialities including cardiology, cardiothoracic services, pharmacist-led clinics, and primary care. Our specialist cardiac pharmacists are integral to patient pathways. They independently run clinics across a variety of sub-specialties, utilise and further develop their independent prescribing qualifications, and actively participate in daily multidisciplinary team (MDT) ward rounds. You will also have the opportunity to lead and contribute to innovative projects spanning both primary and secondary care, with the flexibility to rotate across specialist cardiac services depending on your experience, skills, and interests. Main duties of the job T Working closely with medical, nursing, and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in optimising care for patients with cardiovascular disease, both within the Trust and across the North East London (NEL) community. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development, including involvement in quality improvement initiatives, supervision and mentorship of staff, and contributing to the delivery of innovative, high-quality cardiovascular services. You will also be encouraged to engage with the research agenda, collaborating with pharmacy colleagues and supporting student placements, helping to shape the future of clinical pharmacy practice.
