Specialist Teacher – Speech & Language (SRC)
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and English is essential.
We are looking for an excellent specialist teacher to teach, lead and support pupils with speech and language difficulties in the specialist resource centre (SRC) starting at the beginning of September 2026 or the earliest possible date thereafter. The role is to work under the direction of the Head Teacher and the ALNCo at the school.
Responsibilities
* Teach excellent lessons and create meaningful, motivating learning experiences for pupils with speech and language difficulties.
* Develop and deliver individually tailored programs to meet the needs of each pupil.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, and inspire confidence in learners.
* Integrate pupils into mainstream education where appropriate, collaborating with classroom teachers.
Requirements
* Suitable experience and understanding as a specialist teacher.
* Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and protecting children.
* Willful and successful completion of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; prior convictions will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
* Strong communication skills in both Welsh and English.
