Job Summary
We're looking for a Compliance Officer to play a key role in promoting a strong compliance culture, effective risk management, and regulatory assurance across the firm, combining technical regulatory expertise with practical, people-focused solutions while acting as the firm's principal point of contact with the SRA and taking all reasonable steps to ensure ongoing compliance with authorisation conditions and regulatory obligations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee regulatory compliance and risk management across the firm
* Identify, assess, and escalate compliance and regulatory risks
* Review, develop, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls
* Support internal and external audits and compliance reviews
* Deliver compliance training and awareness across legal and support teams
* Promote a strong culture of ethical conduct, professionalism, and accountability
Requirements:
* Significant experience in a regulated legal environment, with experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory oversight – ideally as a qualified Solicitor although this is not essential.
* Experience liaising with regulators and managing formal reporting or notifications.
