Overview
The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Senior IG Specialist with a focus on AI, within the Information Governance Team. The main focus of the role will provide advice and guidance on the use of AI in a health care setting, as well as supporting the delivery of the wider IG agenda. Working closely with the other Senior IG Specialists and the Head of Information Governance and DPO to provide resilience in supporting the Trust. They will have a sound understanding of current legislative requirements, data protection and artificial intelligence and will monitor continually changing technology advances and national requirements.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence to meet the DSPT and cover other IG related work as required.
* Manage other members of the IG Team to ensure legislative and organisational requirements are met.
* Support the Head of Information Governance and DPO in managing the IG agenda, providing expert advice and guidance on confidentiality, data protection, artificial intelligence and information security.
* Deputise for the Head of Information Governance and DPO as required.
* Role can be based in Exeter or Barnstaple with hybrid working up to 3 days a week from home.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Sound understanding of current legislative requirements, data protection and artificial intelligence.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills; true passion for doing the right thing for patients and staff.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deliver quality outcomes to agreed timescales; a collaborative team player.
* Experience in information governance and data protection matters with a focus on AI.
* Ability to deputise for the Head of Information Governance and DPO as required.
* Availability to work based in Exeter or Barnstaple with hybrid working (up to 3 days from home).
The applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player who can deliver quality outcomes to agreed timescales.

The role can be based in either Exeter or Barnstaple with the option for hybrid working, with the opportunity to work up to 3 days a week from home.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, normal office hours
