An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand the gynae-oncology nurse practitioner team at UHNM. The aim of this post is to develop a trainee ANP into an expert practitioner who will be fundamental in the introduction of clinical triaging for a new suspected ovarian cancer which would help to streamline the pathway, allowing patients contact in a more timely fashion and less clinic visits. The role includes faster assessment of patients referred for suspected ovarian cancer Requesting of additional investigations in clinically indicated patients including blood tests, Ultrasound, CT scan or MRI Early detection of patients who need MDT discussion with ANP having direct contact with cancer services to add patients on cancer MDT.
