We are seeking a skilled professional to join a growing Manufacturing team. Your contributions will be crucial to the successful delivery of their projects, directly supporting the growth and success of the business.
As a key member of our team, you will be involved in building complex high and low voltage electromechanical assemblies, developing manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality delivery to our customers.
Your responsibilities as an Electromechanical Technician:
* Build complex high and low voltage electromechanical assemblies for prototypes and products in development.
* Install electrical and mechanical components such as contactors, relays, PCBAs, LV and HV wiring harnesses, fasteners, and seals.
* Work from basic drawings and instructions, making necessary process developments and hand modifications.
* Support the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in developing suitable manufacturing processes, including process development, tool and jig specification, and in-process/end-of-line testing.
* Conduct production build and testing of complex electromechanical assemblies, maintaining detailed build records and production documents.
* Occasionally manufacture basic LV and HV wiring harnesses and provide off-site support to customers.
Your current experience which will help you as an Electromechanical Technician:
* Minimum of GCSE/BTEC Diploma or equivalent occupational experience.
* At least 2 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly within automotive, aerospace, marine, or motorsport manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of best working practices in production and prototype environments.
* Ability to build complex assemblies following assembly drawings and work instructions.
* Proficiency in manual assembly processes and manufacturing methods such as drilling, tapping, and the use of hand tools.
* Understanding of mechanical and electrical component drawings and the importance of controlled processes and detailed record keeping.
