What You’ll Be Doing
Planning & Coordination
* Support the creation of content and communications plans for key campaigns like Welcome Week and student elections.
* Help manage the content calendar and social media schedule to ensure regular, impactful communications.
* Build relationships with student groups, media contributors, and external partners to develop content opportunities.
* Use engagement data and feedback to improve our content output and overall strategy.
* Work with student representatives to help promote their campaigns and public profiles.
Content Creation
* Produce relevant and engaging content across a range of platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, and blogs.
* Write, proofread, and edit copy to ensure brand tone and consistency.
* Take ownership of the weekly student newsletter, drafting content, segmenting audiences, and scheduling delivery.
* Attend events to capture photos, videos and live social media coverage.
* Brief graphic designers and work collaboratively to turn content into visually engaging digital assets.
* Keep up with trends, evaluate new ideas, and identify shareable content opportunities for a student audience.
* Work with students and staff to source and share authentic, engaging stories from the community.
General Marketing Support
* Monitor and report on content performance to inform improvements and future planning.
* Support moderation and engagement on social channels, escalating in line with internal procedures where necessary.
* Assist with the delivery of key events and campaigns throughout the year.
* Promote and maintain inclusive, accessible, and diverse communications in all outputs.
