Salary: £37,581 + excellent benefits

About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join WWF-UK’s Fundraising team on a fixed-term basis, to help build and strengthen relationships with trusts, foundations and high-net-worth supporters.
This role focuses on developing and managing a mixed portfolio of philanthropic donors, with the capacity to give five and six figure donations. You will lead donor communications, proposals and engagement activity that connect supporters to WWF’s mission while working closely with colleagues across the organisation to maximise funding opportunities.
You’ll play an important part in securing income, deepening supporter relationships and ensuring donors feel informed, inspired and connected to the impact of their giving.
Skills and experience
You’ll bring the skills and experience needed to succeed in this role, including:
* Experience managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations, high-net-worth individuals or comparable client relationships, with a track record of delivering income or commercial targets
* Strong relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and donor communications
* Experience identifying and progressing new funding or business development opportunities
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities
* Financial awareness, including income tracking, budgeting or forecasting
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing your own portfolio independently
* Experience working with high-net-worth individuals within a philanthropy or fundraising environment
* Knowledge of the UK philanthropic landscape, including trusts and major donor fundraising
* Experience delivering donor engagement activity such as events or hosted experiences
* An interest in conservation, environmental issues or WWF-UK’s mission

This is a UK based contract, and you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer sponsorship and any offer of employment will be subject to evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
This role is hybrid with a minimum 40% of your contracted hours spent at our beautiful UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey, where you’ll hot desk among trees and gardens.
