The Dealer channel at Certas Energy delivers a dual-fuel strategy that combines high-quality fossil and biofuels with innovative electric vehicle charging and solar energy solutions, specifically designed for independent dealer-owned forecourts across the UK.
We primarily operate under the Gulf brand, and in more rural areas, under the Pace brand. Certas Energy is the supplier of choice for more independent dealers than any other provider in the UK, supplying fuel and energy solutions to around 700 independently owned forecourts.

Key Responsibilities
To drive regional growth across the Dealer Channel through the acquisition, development, and retention of Independent Dealer-owned forecourts. The role involves managing existing relationships, identifying and evaluating new opportunities, negotiating commercial contracts, and delivering exceptional customer service in line with Certas Energy’s strategic objectives.
Commercial Strategy & Sales Execution
* Formulate and execute a comprehensive, pre-agreed regional sales strategy.
* Evaluate potential station development opportunities using market intelligence, data analysis, and decision-making tools.
* Prepare robust economic and commercial proposals to assess new and renewal dealer deals.
* Lead the negotiation, closing, and onboarding of branded and unbranded fuel supply contracts (typically 5-year terms).
* Develop and maintain precise financial and total cost of ownership (TCO) models to support business decisions.
* Promote value-added offerings such as EV chargers, solar solutions, loyalty programmes (e.g., Oomph), and pricing tools (Price Pro, ForeSite innovations).
Customer Relationship Management
* Cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and prospective Independent Dealer customers.
* Engage and influence key decision-makers to grow the Certas network across 700+ dealer forecourts.
* Ensure customer compliance with contractual obligations and performance expectations.
* Lead dealer exposure assessments, addressing credit risk, pricing accuracy, and operational timing.
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Work closely with internal teams including Supply, Operations, Credit, and Branding contractors to ensure seamless contract implementation and customer service delivery.
* Maintain a high standard of administrative accuracy, ensuring the CRM and all sales documentation are up-to-date and complete.
* Collaborate with national and regional project teams to implement strategic retail initiatives.
Reporting & Planning
* Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to support regional and national decision-making.
* Drive the implementation of regional and national projects across the Retail Dealer channel.
* Own relationships with key service providers to ensure delivery standards meet customer and business expectations.

Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of the UK retail fuels market and Independent Dealer dynamics.
* Proven experience in B2B sales, contract negotiation, and regional business development.
* Financial acumen and experience with economic modelling and TCO analysis.
* CRM proficiency and strong commercial reporting capability.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and build long-term partnerships.
