Associate Director – Accounting & Finance Recruitment

Investigo are market leaders in recruiting into multiple specialisms, and this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Associate Director to lead and scale a high‑performing Accounting & Finance recruitment team. You will play a pivotal role in the growth of the Accounting & Finance division, working closely with senior leadership and leveraging a wider Specialist Recruitment Practice with deep client relationships across the UK.
The role
Key responsibilities
* Owning and growing a profitable 360 Accounting & Finance recruitment desk across the UK, delivering consistent revenue and high‑quality delivery for clients and candidates.
* Working closely with senior management to set and execute the broader business unit strategy, including go‑to‑market plans and growth opportunities.
* Developing and executing candidate generation strategies, building a best‑in‑class pipeline of Accounting & Finance talent for yourself and your team.
* Proactively winning new business, cross‑selling across TIG brands and deepening key client relationships to position the team as a market‑leading partner.
* Effectively managing P&L, tracking revenue and profit against budget, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds minimum charter and promotional criteria.
* Creating scalable, future‑proofed ways of working through systems, processes and data usage to support sustainable growth.
* Demonstrating the ability to sell retained and senior hiring solutions, including SOW and multi‑hire campaigns.
* Ensuring compliance with data protection laws and best practice in all day‑to‑day recruitment activity.
People leadership
* Manage a team of Senior and Principal Consultants, helping them reach and exceed their potential.
* Set clear goals and development plans, provide ongoing coaching, and create a positive, professional, trusting team environment.
* Communicate with clarity, conviction and enthusiasm, ensuring fairness of opportunity for all.
* Actively participate in and promote group ESG, DEI and wellbeing initiatives across the team and the wider TIG network.
* Demonstrate openness to learning, continuously evolving your own leadership and market skillset.
What we are looking for
This role is suited to an experienced Accounting & Finance Recruitment leader who has progressed into, or is ready for, an Associate Director position leading a 360 team. You combine strong personal billing capability with the commercial and people skills needed to build and scale a successful function.
* Have significant 360 recruitment experience, ideally 6+ years within Accounting & Finance, with a proven track record of high performance.
* Bring in‑depth understanding of the Accounting & Finance recruitment market and how industry trends impact clients, candidates and your team’s objectives.
* Demonstrate experience (or clear potential) in managing, coaching and developing recruiters to hit team revenue and profit targets.
* Be ambitious, driven and motivated to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can build something of your own.
* Have excellent communication skills, a high level of professionalism and the resilience and tenacity to find solutions when things do not go to plan.
