Quantity Surveyor Required Job Type: Permanent Start date: Immediate Industry: Construction Location: Trafford Park, Manchester Salary: £55,000p/annum JOB DESCRIPTION: Quantity Surveyor required for an internal fit-out/construction join a growing company based in Trafford Park. Our client is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join the team. Working on construction, fit-out, small works, PBSA and M&E projects with values ranging between £2M - £7M Responsibility for the internal procurement process of subcontractors. Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts, Project & Site Managers. Liaising with sub-contractors and consultants. Attending site progress meetings. Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender. Certify interim and final payments and final subcontract accounts. Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes. Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes. Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts e.g. interim/final applications for payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people e.g. engineers, clients etc. Produce relevant monthly reports for the Directors e.g. cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc. ensuring information is complete and accurate. Provide advice and support to the site team in order to optimise the use of contract resources. Produce accurate bills of quantities & take offs for tendering opportunities. Produce & return accurate tender estimations/quotes to clients. Requirements for the role 5 years' experience in a similar role Good Client interfacing skills and experience Quantity Surveying Degree or industry standard (RICS) Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels including directors Can maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality Excellent time management skills and able to work to deadlines Proficiency in PC operating systems (Word / Excel / Outlook / Cost X) Knowledge of EQUE2 would be an advantage but not essential Full Driving Licence Availability to commute to sites & officeOn offer is a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum benefits, as well as the opportunity to be part of a growing company with great opportunities for progression.
