We’re hiring a skilled Data backend engineer to join a financial services client building high-performance, data-driven market systems.
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, platform services, and market infrastructure, with a strong focus on real-time market data, analytics, and execution workflows.
🔧 What You’ll Do
* Design and maintain graph-based data models representing relationships across financial entities
* Build and orchestrate DAG-driven pipelines for analytics and event processing
* Develop low-latency APIs integrating real-time and historical market data
* Implement search and indexing solutions for fast data access and analytics
* Work with financial messaging systems in capital markets environments
🧠 What We’re Looking For
* Strong Python experience (Django / API-driven backend development)
* Knowledge of graph databases (e.g. Neo4j) and workflow orchestration (DAGs)
* Familiarity with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch and query optimisation
* Experience building REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time systems
* Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
* Interest in solving complex data and system design challenges
