About the Role
Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Head of Operations and Commercial to lead and effectively manage all commercial and contractual matters, ensuring success in line with our standards and those of our client. You’ll be accountable for the overall efficient and effective management of contracts to deliver great quality retail and catering services.
Key Accountabilities:
Monitor contract performance, manage change control, and resolve disputes or claims.
Analyse financial and contractual data to identify risks and recommend mitigation actions.
Ensure contractual obligations are communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
Implement and uphold standards, tools, and processes for contract management.
Lead and optimise day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Drive commercial strategy across all channels/outlets to meet revenue and growth targets.
Build and manage supplier and partner relationships to maximise commercial performance.
Work with cross-functional teams across brand and marketing, operations, and people.
Develop KPIs and performance metrics to monitor and enhance effectiveness.
Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities; adapt strategies accordingly.
Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and margin improvement initiatives.
Support international expansion and innovation in product and service delivery.
Enhance the customer experience by implementing service excellence initiatives and resolving escalated issues.

* Proven experience in catering or hospitality management, preferably in a high-volume venue
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, capable of multitasking and prioritising tasks in a dynamic setting
