Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and safety conscious Newly Qualified Electrician to join our facilities management team. This role involves supporting an experienced upgrade electrician in delivering electrical upgrades, maintenance, and compliance works across a portfolio of commercial properties. It's an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
* Support fault-finding and diagnostics under supervision.
* Carry out minor repairs and occasional planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current regulations and company safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
* Build quotations for client approvals.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and FM teams.
* Participate in toolbox talks and training sessions.
* Uphold high standards of housekeeping and site safety.
Requirements:
* Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* ECS Card (or eligible to obtain).
* Basic understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
* Strong willingness to learn and develop within the role.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable:
* Experience gained through apprenticeship or work placement.
* Familiarity with FM environments (e.g., retail, office, healthcare, critical systems).
* Awareness of Health & Safety practices in construction/FM settings.
* Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
