SEN Mathematics Teacher

Salary: GBP32,916 to GBP45,352 per annum (M1 to M6, commensurate with experience)
Location: Mansfield and surrounding regional hubs (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire)

Core Responsibilities

Curriculum Design and Delivery: Adapt, implement, and review personalised Mathematics programmes and schemes of work tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Targeted Interventions: Deliver high:quality instruction via 1:1 and small group sessions, focusing on conceptual understanding, confidence building, and emotional regulation.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with Site Lead Teachers, Learning Managers, and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive assessments, progress tracking, and transition planning.

Safeguarding and Advocacy: Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management, ensuring a secure and inclusive learning environment.

Professional Development: Engage actively in subject:specific curriculum development and continuous professional learning to remain at the forefront of SEN best practice.

The successful candidate will be a reflective, articulate practitioner who demonstrates a commitment to inclusive education and evidence:based practice.
Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*
Proven track record of successful Mathematics delivery across primary or secondary key stages.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with vulnerable learners, families, and professional colleagues.

A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (essential for commuting between regional learning hubs and supporting student mobility).
Desirable Criteria:

Prior experience operating within an SEN, Alternative Provision (AP), or specialist resource environment.
