Job Title: Technical Author Department: Technical Department Reports to: Senior Project Engineer About us: Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site. We are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks. These products are shipped to an Epson warehouse in Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to our in-house machinery, design and technology improvements from which we use our own Epson 6-axis robots. Salary: £27,000 - 33,000 per annum. Shift: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm Job function: To work within the Technical Department, essentially the role is an admin support function along with Technical Documentation creation and maintenance inline with current legislation. The holder will also provide support during New Product/Project Introductions. A keen eye for accuracy and detail ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and conforms with all internal and external standards and legislation. Main duties and responsibilities: Obtaining technical quotations. Raising Purchase Orders. Updating relevant budget sheets. Expediting of ordered parts to ensure schedules are met. Maintenance of Departmental Administration. Structures. Training Records. Compliance activities. Auditing of Departmental Activities. Technical Manual. Certification. Operation Manual. Machinery Risk Assessment. Safety Check Sheet. Verification and Compilation to Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: Great Britain requirements. New Product Introduction Process. Skills required: Must have good communication skills both face to face and via various media. Proficient in Microsoft office products. Take ownership of tasks. Self-time management. Structured organisation skills with a hands-on approach. Proactive approach and demonstrates solutions to problems /issues as they arise. Excellent attention to detail. Qualifications required: ONC or NVQ3 in an Engineering discipline. GCSE Mathematics and English. Experience required - essential: Relevant experience in a similar role. Microsoft Planner / Teams. Microsoft Office (specifically Excel / Word / Powerpoint). Experience required - desirable: Working in a similar technical environment.
