We are currently looking to recruit a skilled mobile heavy plant fitter to join our team in East Sussex. This role will include maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment, from a petrol saw to a 23 tonne excavator.
Your duties would include but not be limited to:
* Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned
* Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues
* Utilise mechanical knowledge to diagnose problems and implement solutions
* Perform electrical repairs and installations
* Use hand tools proficiently for various tasks
* Dig into equipment systems to identify and rectify faults
* Weld components as needed
Role Requirements:
* Proven experience in plant repair and maintenance
* Strong mechanical knowledge
* Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
* Skillful use of hand tools for mechanical work
* Capable of maintaining accurate and up to date records of work performed
* Good communication skills with the office as well as on site staff
* Can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
