Location: Button End, Harston Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Reporting To: Business Development Director Pay: £32,000 gross per annum About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Assistant to support the Business Development Director with the growth and success of our events portfolio. This role combines administrative precision with creative problem-solving, helping to drive new business opportunities while supporting the delivery of exceptional client experiences. You will assist in managing enquiries, preparing proposals, conducting market research, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Assist the Business Development Director in generating new leads through research, outreach and relationship building. Prepare quotes, proposals, presentations, and sales materials for prospective clients. Maintain and update Xero, tracking enquiries, follow-ups, and conversions. Support the Business Development Director in pipeline reporting and forecasting. Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries. Gather client requirements and contribute to creating tailored event solutions. Liaise with internal departments (operations, catering, venues) to ensure accurate information is relayed. Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments. Assist in identifying potential partnerships, new revenue opportunities, and niche markets. Manage documentation, contracts and pricing schedules. Help maintain marketing assets such as brochures, event packs, and digital materials. Skills & Experience Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail are essential. Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office on a mac. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous experience in events, or sales support. Experience using Xero software. Full driving licence (if travel to venues is required).
