Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors are required in Worcestershire for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs. SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.
* Support learners referred by local authorities and schools who require educational and social‑emotional support.
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring.
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet individual needs and advance education and social‑emotional development.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS).
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience.
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed).
* Two professional references.
* UK resident with the right to work in the UK (including for remote/online assignments).
It is a strict requirement that tutors promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment Status
* Engage as a Worker for short‑term engagements as they arise.
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE.
* No set amount of work or expenses coverage.
* Insurance covers the work performed for us.
* This is not a self‑employed tutoring or teaching position.
