This is a seasonal position.
JOB PURPOSE: Has basic knowledge and experience of mechanics, liquid propane gas systems, electrical, plumbing and carpentry. Working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To maintain, transport, repair and trouble shoot RV units and related equipment in accordance with proven ability as evaluated by the Facilities Maintenance Manager to insure their safe efficient operation.
* To insure that the RV units are clean and visually in compliance with manufactures specifications, guests and Darien Lake policy.
* To ensure that manufactures specifications and state regulations are complied with and documented.
* To inspect RV units and adjacent areas and notify the Facilities Maintenance t Manager of any hazards that may endanger the general public or Six Flags Darien Lake staff.
* To keep all work areas clean, safe and in a professional manner.
* Must be able to read, understand and implement maintenance and inspection procedures.
* To direct, advise and/or work in conjunction with other staff in solving RV related problems.
* To keep all assigned equipment and vehicles in a clean, safe and professional manner.
* To operate within the policies and procedures of Six Flags Darien Lake.
* Flexibility to work nights, weekends and 6 day weeks when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Must be able to read and write the English language.
* Must have basic knowledge and experience of mechanics, liquid propane gas systems, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
* Must have a working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
* Valid New York State Drivers License and successful completion of Darien Lake Vehicle Training program.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Any and all other duties that is assigned or necessary in order to support the Maintenance Department and the park as a whole. While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs, staff levels, or technical developments) dictate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Must be able to sit /stand/ walk for long periods of time throughout the day.
* Must be able to work outdoors at various times throughout the year in the weather conditions prevalent at the time.
* Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity as well as fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination and speech
* Must possess “normal” or “average” corrected hearing. (Defined as 25 decibels or better in the frequency range of 500HZ-4000HZ considered normal speech frequency range). If corrective device is worn, it must be worn while on duty.
* Must possess 20/20 corrected vision. Corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty.
* Requires frequent kneeling and bending.
* Requires frequent walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
* Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 60 pounds.
* If prosthesis is needed to meet these requirements, it must be used while on duty.
* Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two wheel hand truck.
* Requires frequent work at heights up 12 feet.
* Requires occasional work in or around wetness, confined spaces, cramped quarters, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odors, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations.
* The noise level is generally moderate.
