Are you a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role in September? We are seeking a dedicated LSA to support a primary-aged child with SEN on a 1:1 basis within a welcoming primary school in Epping.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, helping the child to achieve their individual learning goals and feel confident and included within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEN to meet their educational and emotional needs
* Supporting the child in accessing the curriculum and engaging in activities
* Implementing strategies outlined in the child’s EHCP or support plan
* Promoting independence, confidence, and inclusion within the class
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals as required
* Assisting with any personal care needs if applicable
About You:
* Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or childcare setting
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
* Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is desirable but not essential
