Sous Chef - We are looking for a highly motivated, positive, reliable + responsible Head Chef to encourage and drive our kitchen team. in the role of a Sous chef here at the boathouse, you ll be responsible for: supporting Day to day running of the kitchen team Assist organising and plan ahead for functions and large restaurant bookings + events organised by the business + surrounding. Ordering Insuring all standards are in place i.e. HACCP, allergen sheets, weekly cleaning, daily cleaning etc., prep-sheets, order sheets up to date etc. HACCP Insuring all areas regarding the kitchen are up to standard; freezer room, kp area in freezer room, downstairs kitchen, prep/dry store area, upstairs kitchen and all fridges and freezer s. Consistency within the kitchen, i.e. prep + plating of dishes Recipe s, that all staff are to follow... i.e. kitchen bible. Communicating with managers and FOH staff. Writing menus (seasonal), daily specials Maintenance of the kitchen Staff development Recruiting, training and developing staff Managing health and hygiene proceduresCOVID-19 precaution(s): Personal protective equipment provided or required Sanitisation, disinfection or cleaning procedures in place Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year Benefits: Discounted or free food Experience: Chef: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
