Job Description
We are looking for an adaptable and confident individual who can work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider kitchen and service teams.
You will take a hands-on approach across all kitchen sections, help maintain a smooth and efficient operation, and contribute to a positive, well-organised work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring the highest standards of taste, quality, and consistency.
2. Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring it is fully stocked, organised, and operating efficiently throughout service.
3. Prepare, plate, and serve food within scheduled service times, maintaining quality and consistency.
4. Support stock control, ordering, and waste management to operate within budgetary requirements while maximising efficiency.
5. Collaborate with and assist the front-of-house team when required to ensure seamless service delivery.
6. Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety across all work sections, equipment, and workspaces.
7. Demonstrate flexibility by competently working across all kitchen sections, including butchery, fish preparation, main kitchen, and patisserie.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
8. SCQF Level 6 or equivalent cookery qualification.
9. Ability to competently work in any kitchen section including main kitchen, butchery, fish preparation, and patisserie.
10. Experience in a similar role within large-scale high-end catering and/or fast-casual food service operations.
11. IT literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Proven experience preparing and delivering meals on time, maintaining quality under pressure.
13. Demonstrated ability to uphold quality and service standards during busy periods while meeting customer expectations.
