Oakleaf are currently partnering with a national business to secure an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Business Partner to act as a trusted partner to managers and colleagues across the service. This role is pivotal in delivering a high-quality, pragmatic, and responsive employee relations (ER) service, ensuring managers are supported and equipped to manage people matters effectively. The successful candidate will be an excellent coach with strong HR expertise, capable of managing a wide range of ER cases from end to end. These include capability, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, flexible working requests, ACAS conciliations, tribunal claims, and appeals. Key Responsibilities Delivering a High-Quality ER Advisory Service Provide professional, practical advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations matters Coach and support managers, offering timely and accessible first-line support on people issues Take full ownership of ER cases, including capability, disciplinary, and grievance processes Attend hearings and tribunals as required, preparing documentation and supporting managers throughout Act as an escalation point for HR support teams Identify emerging trends and proactively recommend solutions Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice Collaborating with HR and Business Partners Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure a consistent, customer-focused service Build strong partnerships with HR and organisational development teams Share insights and escalate issues where appropriate to support wider organisational objectives Data Analysis and Reporting Produce regular ER dashboards and reports, identifying and analysing trends Work with senior stakeholders to interpret data and implement improvements Proactively identify risks and opportunities based on ER insights Training and Development Design and deliver people management training programmes for managers Develop and lead initiatives such as 'lunch and learn' sessions Provide tailored coaching to address specific development needs Continuously assess future training requirements and develop relevant programmes Occupational Health and Wellbeing Lead relationships with occupational health providers to ensure high-quality support and reporting Oversee wellbeing initiatives, campaigns, and events Develop and implement a workplace wellbeing strategy to support colleagues Measures of Success Achievement of individual objectives and service level agreements Delivery of an excellent ER service across the organisation Positive feedback from managers, colleagues, and HR peers Demonstration of strong collaboration and relationship-building Consistent role modelling of organisational values and behaviours About the Role This position offers the opportunity to shape and deliver a high-quality, supportive, and responsive employee relations service.
