Section Engineer – Heathrow Airport Tier 1 Main Contractor Heathrow Airport, London Day Shifts Umbrella PAYE An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Section Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure works at Heathrow Airport. The Role As a Section Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and project management to drive programme delivery on a high-profile aviation project. Key Responsibilities Managing and supervising engineering activities within your section of works. Preparing and writing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for planned works. Producing, coordinating, and managing permits to work in accordance with site procedures. Setting out and surveying using modern equipment. Ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings, and project requirements. Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Maintaining accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports. Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with project documentation. Promoting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards at all times. Requirements Previous experience working as a Section Engineer on major infrastructure, civil engineering, or aviation projects. Proven experience writing RAMS and managing permit-to-work systems. Strong setting-out and surveying experience. Good understanding of quality assurance processes and engineering documentation. CSCS Card (essential). Heathrow or airport experience advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication and coordination skills
