Roadside Rescue Mechanic - Bristol at The AA
As a Roadside Rescue Mechanic, you will help members get back on the road safely, providing roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services across the UK. You will work flexible, part‑time hours and receive comprehensive training and support.
Key responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic road‑vehicle faults.
* Provide on‑site vehicle recovery, safe towing and initial on‑the‑spot service to members.
* Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues, solutions and safety information.
* Maintain a well‑equipped vans, including full uniform, boots and other required equipment.
* Record job details, incident reports and progress in the company system.
* Work independently or within a team, traveling to different sites in all weather conditions.
Qualifications & experience
* NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications.
* Full Category B driving licence with six points or fewer.
* Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
* Prior roadside assistance or automotive repair experience is desirable.
