Day‑to‑day responsibilities include efficient CT list management, training and supervision of student and band 5/6 radiographers, maintaining good working relationships with all departments, and proactively fulfilling band 6 responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
Daily Responsibilities
* Efficiently run CT lists, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to for a safe and efficient patient environment.
* Participate in the supervision of student radiographers and training of CT radiographers on band 5/6 preceptorship.
* Maintain positive working relationships across all departments.
* Proactively fulfil all responsibilities of the band 6 role as detailed in the Job Description.

About the CT Department
The CT scanning department currently has nine state‑of‑the‑art CT scanners, increasing to 11 with the planned opening of the UHNM CDC at the beginning of April 2026. This enhances support for a wide range of referrers, including the Level 1 Major Trauma Centre, Vascular and Neuro‑intervention, Paediatric, Musculoskeletal, and Oncology services. As part of the University Hospital of North Midlands, you will contribute to the training of student radiographers and the preceptorship program for band 5/6 radiographers.
