A leading financial services consultancy firm is expanding its North West presence and is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive origination across the region. They offer restructuring, debt advisory, corporate finance, and many more services to businesses across the UK.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth for the overall business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key introducers (accountants, solicitors etc) and clients across the North West market.
* Represent the firm at networking events, corporate events, industry forums, tradeshows etc.
* Maintain regular contact with existing relationships to ensure the firm remains front‑of‑mind.
* Generate new business opportunities across all advisory service lines.
* Identify, qualify, and route opportunities to the appropriate internal teams.
* Map target markets and sectors to identify new relationship clusters and emerging opportunities.
* Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and deal flow trends.
* Support senior leaders with BD strategy, meeting preparation, and relationship‑building initiatives.
* Contribute to BD reporting, pipeline reviews, and strategic planning.
Experience & Skills Required
* Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
* Experience in insolvency, corporate finance, or commercial lending is advantageous.
* Proven success in business development, ideally with accountants.
* Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
* Commercially sharp with strong judgement around opportunity qualification.
* Excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Proactive, self‑driven, and comfortable in a partner‑led environment.
