Position: Machine Warehouse Operative Location: Head Office, Glasgow Job Type: Full time, permanent Salary: Starting at £25,880 per annum Benefits: 28 days annual leave plus 4 bank holidays, private pension, life assurance, staff discounts and more! Purpose of Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our Machine Warehouse team to ensure all equipment and machines are handled and processed including returning machines, new machines, and refurbished machines. You will also be required to maintain required hygiene levels within the working environments. As part of your key responsibilities, you will: * Follow Matthew Algie Health and Safety procedures ensuring safety of yourself and your colleagues * Receive incoming returning machines and ensuring machine returns process is followed including quality control checks, palletisation of machines, and correct booking and storage of the goods * Receive and unload incoming goods and new machines ensuring the new machine delivery process is followed and stored in their respective areas * Ensure that all deliveries for forward transit are picked, processed, and palleted making sure they are correctly labelled and secure * Assisting in the daily picking of the next day deliveries and where necessary loading on to vehicles * Loading equipment into refurbishment area * Support and complete stocktakes on machines * Relocated goods in the warehouse in order to optimise available storage space according to supervisor instructions * Achieve levels of flexibility to enable the individual to cover all aspects of warehousing such as returns, repacking, inputting, picking/packing and goods in * Carry out housekeeping tasks in the warehouse area on a daily basis Experience * Packing pallets safely and correctly * Similar role in a warehouse environment * Manual handling * Stock processing, picking and packing * Forklift truck experience is preferable, with Bendi experience being advantageous * Good computer skills – Microsoft Office and stock management systems Skills / Knowledge * Excellent Communication skills * Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills * Health and Safety * Strong numeracy * Strong customer focus Personal Attributes * Motivated to deliver success * Seeks constant improvement * Highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to the highest standards * Excellent communication * Can-do attitude and creative problem solver Application If this sounds like you, then you could be the right fit for us!
