We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team Marketing Specialist of 422nd Civil Engineering at the Royal Air Force (RAF) Croughton, United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the marketing and promotion programs for business and recreational activities to include the development and implementation of marketing strategies and to supervise marketing personnel for the 422d Air Base Squadron. You will initiate surveys for targeted markets and perform surveys and marketing analysis to identify needs and wants of a varied audience. You will develop and recommend marketing and publicity plans, policies, procedures and strategies based on the results of the market research and feedback, and plan and provide various advertising media and promotional programs for Services activities. You will serve as the commercial sponsorship program focal point for all unsolicited and solicited commercial sponsorship ventures. In addition, you will develop annual budget and resource requirements to meet program objectives and provide public affairs and public relations services for the Services Squadron and other base agencies.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
1. Knowledge of merchandising and marketing policies, procedures, methods, and publicity techniques to evaluate strengths or weaknesses, and to develop new, or alter existing programs to meet desired goals and promote patronage.
2. Knowledge of market research methods and techniques to perform research analysis, develop surveys, evaluate, and establish promotional strategies to identify customer needs.
3. Ability to supervise employees using knowledge of personnel management regulations and procedures required to hire, train, and appraise employees, and skill to teach marketing techniques to employees.
4. Ability to recognize and define problem areas, apply marketing research techniques, and analyze information for presentation to management and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing using a high degree of tact and diplomacy, to prepare and present surveys, reports, proposals, and press releases.
What are the conditions of employment for this role?
1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule (Monday-Friday where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.
7. You may be required to undertake training as directed by management.
8. You must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
