Stroke Consultant – Welcome Bonus £20K
We would invite applicants who are looking to join an innovative and dynamic small team of stroke physicians to look after the second busiest stroke service in the Anglian region.

Responsibilities
 * Full time substantive post at Ipswich Hospital site as part of the ESNEFT strategy for Stroke.
 * 7 day inpatient stroke rota (hyperacute and acute care) – 28 inpatient beds.
 * Daily TIA clinics and weekly outpatient clinics reviewing new referrals and stroke follow ups.
 * Lead and develop the educational requirement of the stroke service.
 * Option to participate in additional activity including acute medicine on call rota or regional telemedicine rota.
Rota and Working Hours
 * Rolling weekly one in four rota: Care of HASU patients and acute stroke calls.
 * Care of ASU patients.
 * TIA clinics Monday to Friday.
 * Outpatients clinics.
 * Weekend work including HASU ward round, TIA clinic and ward reviews.
 * Days off in lieu will follow a weekend or bank holiday on duty.
 * Join a rota one in six with prospective cover to provide weekend and bank holiday Stroke Unit ward rounds and assessment of high risk TIA referrals.
 * Programmed activities: 10 PA contract – 8.5 PA direct clinical care per week and 1.5 PA supporting per week (CPD, audit, teaching, appraisal).
