Owens are looking for a Facilities & Purchasing Assistant to order supplies and equipment based on our company's needs.
The role will be to support the Facilities and Purchasing department with administrative duties. A highly organised individual is required in a very fast paced environment.
Work Pattern - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Salary - £26,000 - £28,000 Per Annum
Specific Skills
Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel) Spreadsheets
Experience with Sage 200, desirable but not essential
An effective communicator with good telephone manner
Good written and verbal communication skills, able to interact at all levels both internal and external
Good Negotiation skills
Team player with a flexible Can-Do attitude.
Solid organizational skills
Responsibilities
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Adopt a continuous improvement culture
Manage purchase orders through the purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery
Monitor supplier's performance (KPI)
Organise and file compliance paperwork (electronically)
Confirm work schedules with contractors and communicate with stakeholders
