Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

£38,000 – £40,000 (dependant on electrical knowledge)
Week 1: 6am – 3pm
Week 2: 9am – 6pm

The Company:
Due to recent investment, the company has been taken over by a well-known corporation that has invested substantially into site improvements, including a £200,000 investment into building brand new control panels and machinery, such as a new compactor and shredding machine. They are seeking an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer who can think independently and handle breakdowns confidently. Welding skills (MIG) are desirable.
You will be partnered with an electrical-biased maintenance engineer, offering opportunities to upskill electrically and obtain additional electrical qualifications.

Experience required for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
* At least 3 years’ experience repairing and maintaining special-purpose plant machinery as an electrically or mechanically biased engineer
* Strong mechanical skills: changing bearings, straps, belts, chains, moving machinery, stripping, fabricating
* Experience with MIG welding is advantageous
* Experience in FMCG, Food, Metals, Recycling, Automation, Foundry, Brick, Aerospace sectors
* Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Dudley
