This is an exciting opportunity for somebody with video and podcast production experience to join the Wisden team and play a key role in helping grow our stable of digital products globally.
Role overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of Wisden’s suite of podcasts, YouTube shows and the execution of our content promotion strategy. They will be key to ensuring that our shows and podcasts are market-leading, agenda-setting, attune to industry trends and reach the widest possible audience.
Key responsibilities:
* Producing Wisden’s expanding suite of podcasts and shows: assist the host(s) in curating content for each show, booking relevant guests and executing the wider content plan
* Podcast promotion strategy and execution: creation of podcast clips and general social content related to our wider output, optimising everything to suit our different channels
* Production/editorial input: Assist the Head of Content in planning podcast content, booking of guests and other logistics across our suite of podcasts
* Multimedia innovation: Push boundaries with video and stay on top of industry trends.
* Brand image: Maintain a consistent, recognisable brand image tailored for different platforms, ensuring that all published content is recognisably Wisden
* Collaborations & partnerships: Work with commercial team to integrate branded content and special campaigns
Requirements:
* Experience of producing sports video content to a high level
* Deep understanding of the digital sports video landscape and audience behavior
* Excellent grasp of social media trends and current best practices across all platforms
* Strong editorial judgment, with experience covering major live sports events and breaking news
* Excellent storytelling skills across video platforms
* Passion for and deep understanding of cricket
* Experience working with creative, marketing, and product teams in a collaborative environment
* Demonstrable expertise in video strategy or multimedia content production
* Track record of growing a digital footprint through video content delivery
* Excellent video editing and photo editing skills
* Excellent written skills
