About the Job
The Registered Nurse, Oncology, will:
* Set priorities, provide clinical expertise, and lead the care plan, including planning and implementing healthcare treatments and interventions. Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
* Ensure the client and family actively participate in developing and modifying the care plan, including setting long- and short-term goals.
* Establish therapeutic relationships using effective interpersonal and interviewing techniques, respecting client autonomy.
* Discuss referral information with clients, families, and healthcare team members, and initiate referrals to appropriate agencies.
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team through rounds and care conferences to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
This is a permanent full-time position. Shifts will include days and nights on a rotating schedule from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
