Are you a problem-solver who thrives on working with data in a manufacturing environment? At Modus, we’re looking for a proactive Data Engineer to join our Development team. You’ll play a central role in developing and managing our ERP system, ensuring accurate product configurations that drive our procurement and manufacturing processes.
*Role summary *

The core responsibility of this role is to create and maintain an accurate ERP database system related to the development & manufacture of furniture products. At Modus we use Winman software which is a configurator-based system of creating BOM structures, the configuration structure drives all procurement and manufacturing processes. Winman is a Net and SQL server system which is highly customisable, this role is responsible for the effective development of Winman structures & BOM’s within Modus.
*Your role will include*

* Develop required database content from single product structures to ‘configurator’ based information within NPI process.
* Develop required database content for all bespoke product requirements.
* Responsible for all component and product attributes which support procurement, manufacture and sustainability outputs.
* Maintain material library within database with all required attributes to ensure accurate reporting
* Responsible for the accurate EPS (environmental product sheet) output from Winman.
* Continuous improvement of the database architecture to improve efficiency and ultimately profitability
*You need:*

* 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing business working in database creation, product development, product engineering or similar
* Experience of Winman manufacturing or a similar MRP/ERP system.
* Degree in mechanical engineering, product engineering or relevant industry experience.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* An understanding of modern manufacturing methods and Lean understanding
