As a CNC Milling Shift Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day operations across a rotating shift pattern, ensuring quality, efficiency, and team development within the milling department. You'll combine hands-on machining expertise with strong communication and leadership skills to drive performance and maintain exceptional standards.
Your responsibilities as a CNC Milling Shift Supervisor:
Set and operate a range of CNC milling machines to produce precision components from various raw materials.
Ensure all components meet tight tolerances and inspection requirements.
Support and train team members in quality, health and safety, and production procedures.
Work with the Production Manager to allocate work, solve problems, and monitor performance.
Lead shift handovers and maintain consistent output across the department.
Your current experience which will help you a CNC Milling Shift Supervisor:
Time-served Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship with strong CNC milling experience (up to and including 5-axis).
Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in a precision engineering environment.
Skilled in Haas / Fanuc and ideally DMG MORI CELOS (Siemens-based) controls.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on developing others.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
Target-driven and proactive with sound problem-solving ability.
What you can expect as a CNC Milling Shift Supervisor:
Salary up to £50,000, dependent on experience.
