What You’ll Do
As the Installation Project Engineer, you’ll provide first‑line leadership to a team of Johnson Controls field-based Engineers, ensuring excellence in delivery, quality, and safety. Reporting to the Head of Regional Install UK, you’ll play a key role in driving performance, supporting strategic growth, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and supporting installation teams to deliver high‑quality fire suppression projects
* Managing delivery, quality, and Health & Safety standards
* Overseeing your own financial work bank and supporting cost optimisation
* Coordinating engineers on site
* Planning manpower and equipment to meet project timelines and budgets
* Monitoring documentation, timesheets, and compliance
* Conducting regular safety and quality audits
* Identifying development needs and supporting training plans, including annual appraisals
* Managing workload to maximise productivity and forecast accuracy
* Monitoring budgets and preparing reports for senior management
* Liaising with Credit Control to minimise disputes and support timely invoicing
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
* Experience working within an installation environment
* Proven experience supervising or managing engineering teams
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to build, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams
* A full UK driving licence
* Experience with Mechanical Fire Suppression systems
* Ideally 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry
* Good PC literacy, including Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of LPCB BS12845 and/or NFPA standards (preferred)
