Civil Engineer (Drainage/Infrastructure)

Location: Kettering. Salary: £32,000 - £37,000.
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in Drainage and Infrastructure to join a respected multidisciplinary consultancy. The role involves designing and producing drainage, highways and external works for new build and refurbishment projects across various sectors.

Responsibilities
 * Designing drainage, highways, and external works for new build and refurbishment projects.
 * Producing technical documents with respect to relevant Section Agreements (particularly S38, S278, and S104).
 * Liaising with clients and stakeholders at all stages of project delivery, from initial inception through to successful implementation.
 * Providing mentorship to colleagues, sharing best practice and supporting their CPD.
Required Skills and Experience
 * Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
 * Demonstrable experience in a design‑based role within a UK consultancy setting.
 * Previous experience producing Drainage Strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
 * Experience in highways and external works design.
 * Excellent working knowledge of software such as Caſeway Flow, MicroDrainage, Ground Modelling, WinDes, AutoCAD, etc.
 * Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders across public and private sectors.
 * Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
 * Good literacy and numeracy skills.
 * Ability to work as part of a high‑performing team and independently.
 * Full, valid UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills
 * Experience in Flood Risk sector (including authoring Flood Risk Assessments) or Transport Planning.
 * Experience using BIM.
 * Experience managing an extensive range of projects.
 * Good working knowledge of Civils 3D, Site 3D, and Revit.
 * Possess Chartered Status or actively working to attain it.
