Job Description:
PlanningHub is seeking a talented Architect/Architectural Assistant to join our team in building, shaping, and scaling up our AI-powered platform for answering property development planning questions.
Who We Are: At PlanningHub, our mission is to provide highly accurate, fast, and easy-to-understand answers to property development planning questions, ultimately boosting the delivery of much-needed housing. Currently, sifting through vast amounts of data manually is time-consuming, error-prone, and leads to delays and financial waste. Our platform streamlines this process using software and AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs).
Led by Ewa Moskwiak, a RIBA Chartered Architect, and Prof Harald Braun, specializing in software and AI, our team is expanding to accelerate the development of our platform.
What We Offer:
* Opportunity for growth within a fast-growing, dynamic, and friendly technology startup.
* Long-term collaboration and the chance to shape the future of PlanningHub.
* Employee Share Option Scheme to recognize long-term commitment.
* Flexibility to work from our Geovation Hub in London, with some hybrid options; London residency preferred.
Who We Are Looking For:
Talented, experienced, and energetic Architect/Architectural Assistant to lead the transition of complex planning legislation and policies into software code.
Your experience:
* Minimum 3 years work experience in UK planning application projects, private or public sector.
* Ability to provide expert advice on planning policies and regulations, answering complex planning questions, with a good understanding of planning policies and their implications.
* Experience working with various projects across multiple geographies, with analytical thinking skills to translate complex queries into software code.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field.
* Extensive planning experience in the UK.
* Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., RTPI) preferred.
* Strong knowledge of UK planning policies and regulations, with understanding of planning across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland preferred.
* Proficiency in internet searching, Microsoft Office Suite, and vector-based drawing tools.
Soft Skills:
Commitment, enthusiasm, reliability, trustworthiness, ability to accept feedback, organizational skills, diligence, independence, and teamwork are essential.
Other Requirements:
Candidates should be based in London and willing to commute to Geovation Hub, London EC1V 7EN, daily or as needed. Availability ASAP in July, with some flexibility. Long-term UK residence required; short-term visas cannot be accepted.
